LPRA Members Real Wireless Invite You To A Workshop on 22nd September 2015

LPRA Members REAL WIRELESS  would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a workshop they are hosting in partnership with the EU Commission on the topic:

“Future Wireless Requirements of Vertical Industries in Europe - Strategic requirements for 5G in Europe: A social and economic perspective”.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday 22nd September 2015 at European Commission premises in Brussels.  This workshop is part of an interdisciplinary team effort targeted at developing a better understanding of the potential impact of ICT and 5G networks in vertical markets. Further details about this European Commission project can be found at https://www.linkedin.com/grp/home?gid=8314284

5G is a topic of great strategic importance in Europe. However much of the debate to date is driven purely from a technology perspective and not from the perspective of the verticals that will increasingly be using these networks of the future. It is essential that experts from verticals such as transport, health, automation, environment, utilities and others should have an opportunity to provide strong input to help shape Europe’s 5G strategy, policy and research activities.

This workshop will be the first of two that will facilitate this possibility.  This first workshop will be an interactive event and will take a deep dive into four sample verticals - automotive, health, transport and utilities. The workshop is designed to allow maximum input from attendees and is therefore highly interactive. The workshop agenda is attached.

The second workshop, in October, will follow on from the first through a focus on the environments in which different verticals operate such as the home, the city, the workplace and non-urban locations.

Your experience in your vertical (industry) would be very useful expertise to have at this workshop. It would give us great pleasure to have you there and I hope you can attend.

Attendance is free, but places are limited.  Please email their team providing details of the vertical you are most interested in together with dietary requirements, to secure your place (5Gworkshop1@tech4i2.com).

Attendance is limited to one person per organisation. If you are able to attend please bring ID documents to obtain access to the workshop.
